Overview of the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), also known as Tapping
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), also known as Tapping, is a powerful healing technique based on ancient Chinese healing principles. The EFT process can influence and release deep emotional and psychological issues. It can also be used as a helpful relaxation technique.
How does it do this?
By Tapping on the body’s established energy meridian points with the fingertips, mental and emotional blocks caused by traumas or difficult life events can be released. You will become aware of how you are feeling, Tapping into your subconscious and working through difficult memories and emotions.
You might experience significant emotional release during the Tapping process. You can think of it as similar to acupuncture , but without the needles.
What are the benefits of this?
Positive health, wellbeing, personal development and spiritual growth requires a holistic approach. To be fully healthy and whole we need to focus on our Mind, Body and Spirit, including our subconscious. EFT addresses all of these areas.

How does EFT support the coaching sessions?
EFT is optional within the coaching package, However, EFT is a beautiful accompaniment to coaching in order to support transformation, releasing difficult emotions and letting go.
It is only when we let go, that we can make space for something new.
Letting go of painful memories and emotions, will clear your energy field and open you up to endless possibilities.
I believe healing is a continuous part of our existence.
During the Tapping session I will be there to support you in the healing space, and be present for you to access a difficult memory you want to work on.
Going deep into the subconscious takes courage but the benefits can be life changing.
My personal experience of Tapping
The first time I discovered Tapping was during a coaching session a number of years ago. At the time, I was experiencing a lot of self doubt, and my inner critic was holding me back. This was showing up for me in my work and personal life - not feeling good enough. Always questioning myself and my abilities.
This was holding me back and dimming my light.
Through delving into my subconscious during the Tapping, I learned that I had developed a limiting belief , as a trauma response. I believed I wasn't good enough. A series of traumatic life events had led me to this belief. Tapping helped me to release my emotions. I allowed the tears to fall freely , and allow the emotions of previous trauma to be released.
With the support of my coach, I could flip that limiting belief around to a more positive, empowering and truthful one - I AM GOOD ENOUGH.
What followed was:
- A huge sense of relief, like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders
- Resolution from a traumatic memorye
- A sense of calmness and peace
- Emotional freedom
- Inner fulfillment with the knowing that I am good enough
- Confidence and forward action in my work and personal life
